The APT is delighted to welcome two new Board members, who bring with them extensive experience in government, international development and the corporate sector.
Manuel Sager is a Swiss diplomat who served as the Ambassador of Switzerland to the United States from 2010 to 2014. He was also Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Christophe Broggi, the new APT Treasurer, is the Chief Financial Officer of Migros online, one of the largest retailers in Switzerland. He has a background in finance, information technology and has also worked with the non-for-profit sector.
They will replace the outgoing Board members: Klaus Belzer (Switzerland), APT Treasurer since 2015 and former APT’s auditor, and Walter Suntinger (Austria), who served on the Board for 22 years.
“The APT is stronger for the diversity and experience of our Board members,” said APT Secretary General Barbara Bernath.
“We look forward to working closely with Ambassador Sager and Mr Broggi, especially as we continue to navigate the challenges posed by COVID-19 and implement our 2020-2023 Strategic Plan,” she said.
“We also want to thank Klaus Belzer and Walter Suntinger for their unstinting service to the APT over many years. They have both made a lasting contribution to our organisation and we are definitely who we are, and where we are, thanks to their dedication to the APT.”
