George Tugushi

George Tugushi is a human rights consultant, with extensive experience and expertise in torture prevention, as former member of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and of the UN Committee against torture. George was also Ombudsman of Georgia, an institution that is hosting the National Preventive Mechanism. He has visited many places of deprivation of liberty in Georgia and in Europe and the APT will greatly benefit from his detention monitoring experience and the legal expertise.
