The Congress of Mexico adopted, on April 26, the General Law to Prevent and Sanction Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading Treatment. The APT welcomes the adoption of the law, which is the result of joint efforts between government, civil society, academia and the OHCHR Office in Mexico.
