OPCAT Advocacy Mission to Nepal

Purpose:
To prevent torture and ill-treatment by promoting the implementation of effective domestic measures and mechanisms, partly based on recommendations of the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture
Main Activities:
Conduct a one-week mission to Nepal to promote the OPCAT, with meetings to be held with a wide range of human rights actors, including senior government officials, NHRC members and staff, national human rights NGOs and relevant UN officers.
